Boccia

Boccia is a sport played by people with an additional needs and is similar to bowls and pétanque. It is played from a seated position on a chair or a wheelchair. The aim of the game is to propel coloured red or blue balls close to a white target ball (the jack). It requires good focus, speed and hand-eye coordination.

I tried boccia first time during additional needs multi-sport camp at the Falkirk Active Schools in 2017. Soon after, I took part in Primary and Secondary Schools Boccia Competition in December 2017 at Grangemouth Sports Complex and won Bronze.
